We’re teaming up with the Shepeard Community Blood Center on April 24th between 11:00AM – 3:30PM! The bloodmobile will be located at Milton Ruben Chevrolet and ready to help anyone who wants to donate. Remember your donation can save three local lives!
When thinking of donating blood, there are several things that are considered before you are allowed to. First, you must be at least 17 years old (or 16 with written parental/guardian consent) and weigh 110 pounds or more. After that, there is a brief health questionnaire, this is to make sure that a blood donation is safe for you and the recipient your blood. If you have a cold, flu, or fever, you may not donate until you are better. There are other conditions that may effect your ability to donate. Visit http://www.shepeardblood.org for more information.
