Milton Ruben Chevrolet's 2014 Z28 Camaro

The 2014 Camaro Z/28 incorporates a full aerodynamics package designed to produce downforce at track speeds. At the front, a large splitter is connected to an underbody panel that reduces lift; the aerodynamics are further improved with fender flares over the front and rear wheels, along with rocker panels that assist in attaining aerodynamic stability. An aggressive rear spoiler and functional diffuser round out the aerodynamics package. “What makes the Z/28 so addictive is it inspires confidence through every section on the track,” said Camaro Z/28 engineering manager Mark Stielow. “The incredible, balanced performance helps you carry much more speed through every corner: the brakes are so good you can adjust your braking points later and later; the grip and suspension damping allows you to carry more speed through the apex; and then the limited slip allows you to make the most of the LS7 as you power out of the corner.” The impressive power produced by the LS7 in the 2014 Camaro Z/28 is distributed to the rear wheels via a limited-slip differential featuring a helical gear set, not traditional clutch packs. The 2014 Camaro Z/28 rides on 19-inch forged aluminum wheels and tires that reduce unsprung weight by 42 pounds (19 kilograms) compared to the 20-inch wheels standard on the Camaro SS and ZL1. The smaller diameter wheels lower the car’s center of gravity by 33 millimeters — which contributes to improved handling. All four lightweight wheels are wrapped in 305/30ZR19 Pirelli PZero Trofeo R tires, marking the first production application of the ultra-high performance tires; GM believes the rubber to be the widest front tire on any production car. To optimize the 2014 Camaro Z/28 for the track, Camaro engineers creatively removed mass from the vehicle, or what General Motors calls “an intensive lightweighting program”. The efforts resulted in a 100 pound (45 kilogram) decrease in curb weight compared to the naturally aspirated Camaro SS and 300 pounds (136 kilograms) when compared to the supercharged Camaro ZL1.
“We looked at every subsystem for opportunities to save weight,” said Oppenheiser. “Our goal was to get rid of everything that didn’t make the car faster, and keep only what was required by law." “We used the very best components in the industry to deliver uncompromised performance, lap after lap,” said Mark Stielow, Camaro Z/28 engineering manager. Over 200 changes were made to improve the Z/28′s track performance; these enhancements allow the Z/28 to achieve 1.05 g in cornering. According to Mr. Stielow, all other things being equal, increasing maximum grip from 1 to 1.05 g can cut up to four seconds per lap. Seating was also optimized for a lighter vehicle - but you'd never know it from the sport suede seats, reminiscent of racing harnesses on the track. Rear seats were redesigned to save pounds as well. The interior of the Z28 was optimized to be as light as possible - including optional air condition and radio. This particular vehicle has both. Other features include the flat bottom steering wheel found in the ZL1. The Camaro Z/28 comes exclusively with the Tremec TR6060 manual transmission. The six-speed gearbox features close-ratio gearing and 3.91:1 final drive ratio, both optimized for the power characteristics of the LS7 V8. The new design enables the driver to apply more power and get through corners faster by continuously adjusting the torque bias to maximize available traction. The differential works in conjunction with Chevrolet’s proprietary Performance Traction Management system (PTMS). The system allows drivers to adjust the level of throttle and brake intervention to match their capability and driving environment. Unlike competitor's racing technology, the Z28 includes cooling systems necessary for track racing. The 2014 Z28 is the most powerful Camaro yet - topping the charts with over 500 horsepower through a lighter, naturally aspirated LS7 7.0 liter V8. Since 1967, Chevrolet has been experimenting with weight and power in large engines within the Camaro line.   Unlike our competitors, we are not marking up our Z28. We WANT to sell this car! Anniversary Editions Dominate 2017

Don’t get us wrong. Every vehicle that drives off our lot is special, because we know just how life-changing it can be to an individual. And we know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some of our employees get excited about a truck they have to climb to get into, while others drool over the latest hybrid technology. This difference of opinions has prompted heated "car-talk" for decades. But vehicles that commemorate a significant milestone will always hold a unique place in our hearts. Maybe they remind us how far the auto industry has come. Maybe they bring back memories of our first car. Or perhaps they just make us excited to see what’s next. Either way, 2017 is a wonderful year for special Anniversary Editions for several of our brands. Here’s a spotlight of a few of them: 2017 Toyota Corolla 50th Anniversary Special Edition The most popular car in the world turned 50 this year and it looks like Toyota threw a black tie soiree. The Special Edition oozes sophistication, from its special badging to its 17-inch alloy wheels. The car comes in Black Cherry Pearl, Blizzard Pearl and Classic Silver Metallic, and features Black Cherry contrast accents throughout the interior to add a stylish touch of luxury. 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition The legendary Camaro also turns 50 this year, and, to honor it, Chevy released anniversary editions in both coupe and convertible 2LT and 2SS models to celebrate the classic style AND performance of the vehicle. It’s built to move, but once it slows down, check out the distinct Nightfall Gray Metallic color with special 50th Anniversary stripes, badges, and grille. And, when you’re not driving, relive history with the web page Chevy put together highlighting the six generations of the Camaro. 2017 Jeep Wrangler 75th Edition The Jeep Wrangler technically turned 75 last year, but that hasn’t stopped Jeep from continuing the celebration into 2017. Available in the Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited, the 75th Anniversary Editions, in a nod to their predecessors in WWII, include a bronze interior and exterior and premium wheels, as well as the special badges that prominently feature 1941, the year of the first Wrangler.

15 Things We Love About The 2015 Toyota Sienna

Everyone has seen the viral advertisements from Toyota about the new 2015 "Swagger Wagon."  We have all laughed at the truth in the ad about parenthood and being "cool" enough to embarrass your kids sufficiently, partying hard until 9pm, and sneaking sips of apple juice from the toddler's sippy cup.  Let's be honest, we love those ads.  It has been connecting parents everywhere to the beautiful chaos that is having kids, commiserating in the joyful, crazy lives we lead day in and day out, so much so that finding the humor in it is just as beautiful as your kid saying "I love you," through choking sobs while you're trying to scrub a mystery substance scented with banana and mud off of their face.  "Messy but great," right? Well, the 2015 Toyota Sienna acknowledges the messiness of parenthood, and offers you a sweet window of hope in the form of a minivan that is anything but a compromise.  Allow us to elaborate in these 15 things we love about the new 2015 Toyota Sienna! Driver Easy Speak The Sienna sees your screaming and raises you a speaker system that will transfer your voice to the rear seat.  By touching a button on the screen of the new dash, you can project your voice through the speaker system to your passengers, helping you maintain control of your adorable hooligans! Smart Key System Who hasn't had that moment of baby on the hip, purse on your shoulder, and key that has sunk to the bottom of the diaper bag in pouring down rain and frigid winds?  You no longer have to dig around in the diaper bag with your one free hand and miraculously juggle child, purse, and bag around to open the door and lock baby into the car seat.  You can just touch the door, and the vehicle will sense the proximity of the key, and unlock for you.  I'm pretty sure a mom of two toddlers thought up this one! Sliding Center Console Speaking of toddlers... as they outgrow those car seats, and their hands are still only so big, spills in the car are an accepted reality of parenthood.  But we can minimize those spills with an extended sliding center console, putting cup holders within reach of those little hands. Dual View Blu Ray No more arguments over Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Frozen on the next long holiday drive - you can have both in the 2015 Toyota Sienna XLE Premium with the Dual Screen on the Blu Ray.  It even comes with head phones so you can rock out to Kenny G (just kidding) and don't have to hear Let It Go for the fifty millionth time. Recline and Relax Again, as the kids get older - there are advantages.  Teen driver can help with the road trip while you kick back, prop your tired feet up on the ottoman (yes, ottoman), recline a tad bit, and take a nice snoozer in the 2015 Toyota Sienna Limited.  Toyotas are a long-term investment, so let's think long-term! Easy Access Kids climbing around on your upholstery  in their dirty shoes are a thing of the past - finally!  Second row seating slides all the way forward, with backs of the chairs closing in for easier access to third row seating. Power Lift Gate Another battle of arms full vs. access won!  Your smart key has a button, the lift gate has a button, your driver's seat has a button - there are multiple ways to conquer  the "You forgot to close the trunk!" debacle with the Power Lift Gate! Split N' Stow Seating I remember as a kid, watching Dad haul the seats out of the back of our minivan before a ski trip.  Those things looked heavy, and we always ended up with the seats in our dining room for a few days until Dad regained the strength to reinstall the suckers.  No worries for my generation of parents! Not only do our minivans have a bucket in the rear to store third row seats, but several trim levels even have electronic buttons - no hauling necessary! Convertible Cargo With those seats stowed in their buckets, you can convert 39 cubic feet of storage into up to 150 cubic feet of cargo area. Soft Touch Leather That sticky squeaking is soooo last decade! Our soft touch leather offers the luxury of leather with the comfort of quality fabric. (And I hear it's easy to clean to boot!) Available Dual Moonroof Be it for a little extra light for Abbey to teach Aiden how to read, or to watch the stars as they fall asleep, the dual moonroof is a luxury we love in the new Sienna! Seats Up To 8 With convertible seating and an extra option to insert a center seat on the second row, there's no way you can't take on the U-8 soccer team's spontaneous victory pizza lunch! Toyota Care There is so much that can be said for Toyota Care, that we could go on all day.  But the basics is that Toyota is here to take care of you, with a warranty and service coverage that covers the first two years of your new Sienna! New Wraparound Dash By far our favorite new feature in the new 2015 Toyota Sienna is the dash.  Designed with safety in mind, Toyota created an easy one touch system, and re-organized it to be closer to the driver, easier to reach, and thus easier for you to stay focused on the road. Safety Features With 8 standard airbags (up to 12), a 24/7 emergency response center called Safety Connect, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, standard back up camera, blind spot monitoring, parking assist, and so much more, the 2015 Toyota Sienna is built to get you and your family from Place A to Place B as efficiently and as safely as possible. The 2015 Toyota Sienna "Swagger Wagon" truly is the minivan that doesn't compromise, for those who live lives all about compromise.  Live a little, gain some swagger, and check out the new 2015 Toyota Sienna at http://www.miltonrubentoyota.com.   For more information on the latest vehicles, offers, and events at Milton Ruben Toyota, follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram.
